Julie Duranceau is a lawyer, member of the Quebec Bar since 2001 and since 2005, a mediator accredited in civil and commercial matters, labor and family related issues. She is recognized and certified as a mediator by the Quebec Institute of Mediation and Arbitration (IMAQ), a branch of the ADR Institute of Canada. She also acts as an investigator for complaints regarding harassment in the workplace and has strong expertise in sports related affairs. Since her debut as an alternative dispute resolution consultant, Me Duranceau has conducted or supervised over 400 mediation meetings, appeal committees and investigation and conflict management processes.

Me Duranceau began her career as a civil and commercial litigator with the law firm Stikeman Elliott. She then joined the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada where she acted as the resolution facilitator and the coordinator for the resources and documentation centre. Her interest in interpersonal relations brought her to focus her energy exclusively on alternative dispute resolution processes. She obtained different certifications in this field and participated in many training programs in mediation, negotiation and harassment in the workplace.

She offers mediation, investigation and conflict management services to organizations, businesses and individuals in all areas of law.
